Oil pastel and watercolour painting on paper
Title - Ganges near Agarpara (11" x 7.5")

Last week I completed this work with oil pastel and watercolour. I was enthralled by the beauty of Ganges when I visited  Agarpara Giribala Temple Ghat complex last week. I instantly decided that I should paint this view on that very day. I am happy that I have  kept my word . The place is very nice and cool, perfect for open air painting and sketching . Adjacent Giribala temple complex is also very calm and quiet.

Townscape - recalling the Dutch memories in Chinsurah, Hooghly,West Bengal

Watercolour Painting on paper

On the way to Bandel Church from Hooghly Imambara, I noticed this beautiful old structure.  Instantly I took some snaps . Afterwards I completed this work in my studio.
Chinsurah is a Historical Dutch Colonial town, so lots of Dutch memories are still prevailing in  the city, specially beside the bank of river Ganges.
